Universal Music Group

An Fenyx Shop at the heart of recovery

Universal Music Group is the market leader in the German music business and active in more than 60 countries worldwide. Its Berlin office was for many years both headquarters and the central location for creative, sales and administrative teams. As part of the site closure, Fenyx took on the complete clearance and sustainable recovery of the entire office inventory. The focus was a structured Fenyx Shop: numerous pieces were passed on internally and so stayed in use. This was complemented by donations and the targeted remarketing of remaining stock. Our scope covered digital inventory capture, categorisation, sorting and the complete organisational delivery.

1,800 items passed on internally — socially and environmentally sound

A particular focus was sustainable and socially responsible recovery: 1,800 pieces of furniture were sold directly to employees of Universal Music Group Germany — a strong contribution to the internal circular economy and to employee engagement.

91% put to further use — through structured processes

Professional inventory capture, structured sorting and efficient execution meant 91% of the inventory could be put to further use — through the Fenyx Shop, donations or targeted remarketing. The project shows that sustainability starts inside the company and can be delivered in a commercially sensible way.

A complex project — delivered efficiently and reliably

Despite tight deadlines and considerable organisational complexity, the project was completed smoothly and on schedule. The combination of a digital inventory, a clear project structure and coordinated delivery was decisive for its success.
